HTC Merge finally gets official from HTC.

The Merge which was long rumored a Verizon device has got the official word from HTC. The Merge will now come to multiple US carriers in the spring. There was no mention of which ones would carry the device. But guessing from all the Verizon rumors they are a sure bet and you can probably throw Sprint in there as well, since they are both CDMA. Anyway this phone boast a 3.8 inch touch screen, Android 2.2 with HTC sense of course. A 5 MP camera capable of 720p video with a slide out keyboard.

Angry Birds coming to Windows Phone 7

The very popular game for mobile devices Angry Birds will soon see the light of day on Windows Phone 7 OS. The highly popular and very addicting game is already on iOS, Android, and WebOS. The title is expected to hit the OS April the 6th, no pricing was announced.

Seems as though the Thunderbolt may not see the light of day until the 4th of March. The phone is the 1st LTE device coming to Verizon and highly anticipated.

Wow this is a crazy turn of events. It seems that some of the lucky few who were able to download the update or even get the over the air update can now be worried. As according to Sprint and Samsung the update has been pulled from the OTA and Samsung's website. Due to SD card issues and data connectivity. They are currently working on a fix for it. Sprint announcing a new phone Thursday on the 24th.

Ok Sprint posted something on there twitter account saying something in the form of "...guess what new phone is coming to Sprint..... Check back Thursday" So who ever is following Sprint on Twitter check back with them on Thursday to see what the 3rd largest carrier in the US has i store. Sources say they will finally announce the rumored HTC Pro 7 which is the Sprint version of the Windows Phone 7 that was announced back in October of last year. Stay tuned as I will have more on this story.

Update on the twitter apps situation

Ok so it seems that Echofon was also suspended along with Ubertwitter and twidroyd. But now there is an update and a fix for all apps that were affected and they should be an update in each one of the respective app catalogs for them. One change is that Ubertwitter will now become Ubersocial.

Ubertwitter and twidroyd not working for you well thats because as of now twitter has officially suspended the apps. Here is what they had to say.

"Today we suspended several applications, including UberTwitter, twidroyd and UberCurrent, which have violated Twitter policies and trademarks in a variety of ways. These violations include, but aren’t limited to, a privacy issue with private Direct Messages longer than 140 characters, trademark infringement, and changing the content of users’ Tweets in order to make money."


So I suggest using another twitter client for your blackberry and android phones until this is cleared up.

Sprint makes it official. Finally Epic 4G owners will get the long awaited update of Android 2.2 (Froyo) beginning this Monday on the 21st.

A Motorola exec today and MWC 2011 gave the pricing of there hot new upcoming honeycomb tablet. The Verizon version will be 3G at launch with a software update to LTE soon there after and it will hit you for 799.99. The wifi only version will run you 200 dollars less at 599.99. The Verizon version is still rumored to be coming out on the 24th of this month at best buy.

Sprint doing away with the 1 year upgrade for premiere customers

WTF Sprint how can you do your loyal customers like this you were the only game in town that allowed folks to upgrade after 1 year if you were a premiere customer. Now what do we have to look forward to. Anyway if you are with Sprint and your a premiere customer you will lose your 1 year upgrade as of May 31, 2009. Wow

Update:  There will be 2 levels of premiere customers the gold and the silver. Silver being a new premiere member and have a phone bill of at least 69.99. Gold standard means one of two things you have been with sprint for at least 10 years and pay a monthly bill of 89.99 or more. Silver cant upgrade every year Gold members can.

Sprint maybe moving to LTE and slowly killing off WiMax

Months ago Sprint and there partner of WiMax Clearwire were both considering switching from WiMax to LTE. Both companies saying that the switch would be very easy as they need to just switch out some minor hardware and do a software update. Well looks like Sprint is on track to do that over the next few months. Seeing as Verizon and AT&T are both already committing to LTE with T-mobile not far behind them. So we may all be unified on the same network one of these days in the near future. Question is what will happen to WiMax and the Evo 4G, Epic 4G and Evo 4G shift. hmmmmmm

Starting tomorrow at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Samsung will have its keynote. The rumor is they will announce there new galaxy s 2 which will sport a 4.3 inch display super amoled screen. Android 2.3 and a 1Ghz dual core processor. Also they will announce the successor to there galaxy tab with a bigger screen 10 inch display to be exact also with a dual core 1GHZ processor and Android 3.0. I'll update as soon as I get it.

The Pre 3 specs

Ok so we have waited all this time and what do we get the Pre 1 with better specs palm/hp you all have disappointed me big time. But needless to say here it goes. Pre 3 will come with WebOS 2.2 it'll have a 1.4Ghz snap dragon processor in it with 512 MB of RAM. A 5MP camera capable of 720p video recording. A front facing camera for video chat. It will also have both EVDO Rev. A and HSPA + which makes this a world phone. It'll be available this summer. Stay tuned for more

Specs on the HP/Palm TouchPad

The touchpad is about the only really good thing that came out of the HP/Palm camp today. It boast a 1.2 ghz dual core snap dragon processor. A 9.7 inch screen, WebOS 3.0 which we have never seen of heard of this version. Comes in a 16gb and a 32gb version a gig of RAM. A front facing camera for video chat. Wifi 802.11 b/g/n and your standard bluetooth. No word on when it is coming though so stay tuned.

AT&T offering unlimited mins to any mobile number on any network starting Feb 10th.

Seems that AT&T is following suit to Sprint with the any mobile anytime thing. Starting tomorrow all AT&T customers will get the chance to enjoy what us Sprint folks have been enjoying since idk 2009 lol. But of course this is AT&T so there is a catch obviously. One you have to sign up for it, two you need to be on the companies unlimited messaging plan, three you need to also be on a 'qualifying' nation or family talk plan. So there you have it folks if your with AT&T then call there customer service lines tomorrow and get with the any mobile anytime on any network.

WSJ states that the iPad 2 is now in production

The Wall Street Journal states that the iPad 2 is now in production, the next version of Apples tablet is stated to have a faster CPU better GPU and a front facing camera for Face time. This is all going to be in a thinner lighter bezel speculation and rumors state that the screen resolution will remain the same.We may see the iPad 2 and the iPhone 5 at apples yearly event WWDC. Rumors ahhh got to love them.

T-Mobile giving away free phones this Valentines day weekend

If your on T-mobile are were thinking about switching now is the time. This weekend the 4th largest carrier in the U.S. will have all of there phones going on sale for free. Now of course its not going to be totally free you will however have to sign a 2 year agreement and some phones will come with a mail in rebate. Well well well look at what we have here. Rumor says the palm pre 2 will finally make its way to big red as soon as February the 17th. Now again take this with a grain of salt as two things come into play here; one this was suppose to come out last year during the holidays, and two palm/hp is hosting a huge Webos event next week on the 9th where they will be introducing at least 4 new phones and tablets.

So next week in New York sprint the now network will be hosting a event. This event is rumored to feature the beloved white iPhone 4 but my sources tell me that its a Android device. Either made by HTC or LG and it will be a 3D phone. The event in NY is scheduled for February the 7th so stay tuned for all the news and some pics next week.
